Is ASIC going to use its product intervention powers (once granted) to reduce leverage on CFDs and Margin FX contracts?

ASIC will have some powers to do this, and its chairman Greg Medcraft has indicated that it may use those powers for the CFDs industry, but, as yet, there is no clear indication that this will happen.  See our two-part series on what’s happening globally and in Australia here.
