    Yes.

     

    Amendments made to the National Consumer Credit Protection Regulations 2010 in December 2010 allow a credit guide, quote for providing credit assistance (credit assistance providers only) and a credit contract (or lease) proposal document (credit assistance providers only), to be provided to a consumer electronically as follows:

     

    i. by making the document available on the licensee’s information system; or
    ii. sending the document to the consumer’s nominated email address.

     

    Disclosure documents can only be provided to the consumer electronically if the consumer consents.

     

    There are specific requirements about how you can provide the documents to the consumer.  See ASIC’s Class Order CO 10/1230 for more information, or call us for assistance.
